Rainbow 2.0 Alpha 3 now commited.
The preliminary commit is online, Eric and his team are going to do some quick qa, and then probably release a zip package for some mass testing.
To summarize:
- Almost all web page and controls are now partial classes
- XHTML from eric
- Google Search Module restored ( mike stone found it for me, i converted it 2.0 official rainbow)
- Massive namespace refacotring, codedocs.rainbowbeta.com are an up to date code documentation reference, posted last night on last build.
- Large ammount of code comments added
- HTTP Compression is in place, you can turn it off if you want by commenting the web.config
- Rainbowbeta.com will be updated by wed/thursday (let me with your accounts if you want to be upgraded to rb developers or content editors).
- jonavi.com will also be updated with latest code (note neither site is precompiled, these are standard rainbow website folder websites)
- Several events fixed (mainly update site settings for example, module definitions so you can install modules again)
- Removed FCK version one from solution and core code, and bin
- Cleaned out PSD files as per Yannik suggestion
- Some other stuff
There are still plenty of open todo's, discussion for this commit will continue at the open thread: http://community.rainbowportal.net/forums/1390/ShowThread.aspx#1390 whic is called final refactoring. This does not commit more changes, but as far as massive rewrites for namespaces and code seperation this will be it, until we hit phase two and put work into UI, Usability, and design plus some other front end stuff.
