Rainbow 2.0, Meebo, Google Analytics, and the power of Copy/Paste
Rahul and I are doing a lot of work to show the power of Rainbow. Just by using the plain HTML document module or the component module, one could do some powerful things. Rahul has created a module feature
page. Enough, I begin with google.
Ive been trying to think of something cool to integrate with Google. I chose google Analytics just as a test and plan to do something with the mapping/searching APIs. Within 10 minutes, I had google analytics on all my Rainbow 2.0 sites. Google doesnt like aspx [ cant blame em], so their verification process doesnt work. However, in 24 hours I started getting data. Below are some screen shots that show the ease of install.
Simply copy and paste the google given snippet. You will get your own code that you should fill in the blue box. Place this code before the "</body>" tag in DesktopDefault.aspx.

If you have a google account [ which if you dont, you havent lived], you can simlply login to google
analytics and add your domain account.

After clicking View Reports, google shows you great stats from your Rainbow site. Since the code snippet is in Deskdefault.aspx, every page is tracked with great detail in other pages.

Meebo has this new cool thing called
Meebome. As long as you are logged in to meebo, you can talk to users that view your site. This is pretty powerful as all a user has to do is visit your embedded page and they show up on your IM list. You can then IM them and begin a conversation. Users from the web can also change their names. Below are screen shots of Meebo integration. Please visit our site and say hi. Ill even solve Rainbow Issues. Nothing to crazy though ;).
Just create your
widget then copy and paste your code into a html document or component module.

You can view this example online
here and say hi.
