    OmniPortal, RainbowPortal, DotNetNuke, oh my!

There seems to be a lot of talk about the advantages of OmniPortal v. RainbowPortal. As someone trying to evaluate stuff, it's hard to know where this all stands. Have the folks at Omni integrated here to work on streamlining permissions, etc? Or has OmniPortal remained separate. Also - at asp.net, there is yet another portal App - dotNetNuke. Can someone comment on how this might be different - advantages and disadvantages of one v. another? It's hard, under a deadline, to fully read all of the code of these various projects and determine which of them might be most extensible and flexible.

    Sincerely,

    Bryan Ax

Well: Omniportal guys are working with Rainbow now.

About DNN the best advantages/differences that Rainbow has over DNN is:
    - Is in C#
    - Niceley supports external code (installer)
    - Is localized in 15 languages
    - Has customizable theme/layout support
    - Has Workflow built in
    - Has a search interface implementable on you module writing a single code row
    - Is multicolor :) (cheating)

Another advantage that got me over is that rainbow have more default modules attached ready for use.
